  I purchased 2 violin chinrests and a soundpost tool. I received the chinrests and was disappointed to find that they did not match the photo on the website. Now I have two unwanted chinrests and have repurchased the desired chinrests from another shop. As to the soundpost tool it has not yet arrived. The receipt says b/o which I assume means back order. I emailed an enquiry to Carlingford music and no response after a week.

  Purchased my 2nd Kawai GL10 Baby Grand from Carlingford Music, Robert was most helpful, allocating a piano for me at a time of high demand, long wait times and delays due to covid. No comparison to another Kawai dealer in Sydney who was incredibly unprofessional with poor customer service. The piano arrived swiftly and as per the timeframe I was provided, delivery was arranged straight away. There was a little bit of miscommunication between the store and delivery man but this was resolved swiftly by the store and the delivery team were simply amazing. Took a lot of care with the piano (and our home), they just knew what they were doing and were lovely guys. Robert lined up tuning by a piano technican to follow promptly a couple of days after delivery and that was that. Process was a breeze from start to finish. Highly recommend Carlingford music for their professionalism, standard of technicians/delivery team and fairness on price.

  The web site indicated they had stock but after not hearing from them for 3 weeks, i telephoned them to find out stocks were still due in. After my contact with them, they then provided more updates as stock arrived and the order was consolidated for shipping.

  I went to the shop looking for a digital keyboard that felt like a piano to play at home. I received good advice and I was able to see it and try it at the shop. My chosen digital piano was in stock, so i was able to purchase the keyboard and stand and the seat to match that same day and take it home! This is not my first purchase, I have on occasion purchased sheet music and a seat for my previous piano. Every time the service was excellent and I found what I wanted.

  I ordered a violin accessory, but when i ordered... no emailconfirmation of pament came so i did not think that the order had gome through. The payment screen was not responding correctly.. It was a surprise to suddenly get a response.. many days later .. and bigger surprise to get my order. Apart from that, im very happy with my delivery.   It took over four months for this to arrive because they didn't have it in stock. I had to contact them after three months to find out what was happening and asked to be contacted if they would take longer than a month (it wasn't in stock despite the online store implying that it was) and wasn't updated until it arrived on their end 1.5 months later. Most of the time I was questioning whether or not the damn thing would arrive or whether they'd even tell me if it got lost and they just forgot about it. Avoid these people, there are better music stores that provide better customer service.

  I give one star because we did EVENTUALLY receive our item. Otherwise it would be none. The service was awful. The delays were ongoing and unexplained. We had to chase them for basic information about our order and there was no follow up when it was promised. An awful experience. I wouldn't buy with them again and I certainly wouldn't recommend them.

  I had a fantastic experience at Carlingford Music Centre. I've placed a deposit for a Maton EBG808c Nashville acoustic guitar and couldn't be happier. From the initial phase of stepping into the store and trying out the different guitar models, to deciding to pull the trigger on the purchase, both Ned and Jeff at CMC have been amazingly patient and knowledgeable. They demonstrated superb professionalism throughout the entire process; they never applied any sales pressure and were honest with their opinions. They really are passionate about what they do.
