    The quality of the instruments that arrived were great! Very knowledgeable and helpful staff too. They helped make recommendations on the instruments based on age and also helped ensure that my order was delivered on time for my nieces birthday. I could not be more pleased! They also followed up with a courtesy email to advise that due to COVID, delivery times were hard to predict (even though my order ended up being delivered on time in the end) but the communication on this was still much appreciated.

    My product, a Rode USB mic was over 4 months in delay. I finally settled for another version of Rode USB mic that was in stock. All this was understandable as it was a highly sought after item with the Covid19 situation. The staff were always friendly when I called to check on progress. My only complaint and disappointment was that it was always me that called them. They never once called me or returned my calls until the very end when I switched mics. Communication initiated by them would have taken a lot of frustration out of the situation.

    I have ordered a product on 19th August and I have also been charged for that on the same day. However nor have I received the payment confirmation email neither the product and its 10th September. Even the Carlingford Music Centre official website says its under maintenance from pas 30 days. I don't want the product anymore and I want my money back on the account. I would never buy anything from this company ! Worst service ever!!

    After initially being happy with a phone order I never received my product. I was assured the ordered products were in stock. I never received a shipping notice. 3 weeks after ordering I emailed to find out where my order was. No one replied to my email so I emailed again. I got a response that someone would contact me. No one did. A week later I emailed again for someone to contact me. After emails back and forth with days In between responses I finally received a refund. This was over 4 weeks after I’d made the order. I realize that there are delay with postage at the moment, however my order never even left the warehouse. I’m sorry, I don’t usually complain but I’m really disappointed.

    Extremely poorly managed and misleading communication. The product I ordered (a small cable adaptor) arrived three whole months after I ordered it to be delivered to Melbourne. Given coronavirus, delays were to be expected, and I would've completely understood had Carlingford been up front about them. Instead, I had to reach out several times over the months to be updated about the progress of the order. After they initially didn't respond to emails, I called the store and was told that due to the delays with the manufacturer, they could send me a generic brand replacement "asap". After I said that was fine, they didn't send it. Weeks later, and after they hadn't responded to my emails, I called again. They said they'll "sort it out asap". They didn't. Weeks and more ignored emails later, I call again. At this point, they say that the manufacturer brand item is actually now in stock and that they will "send it asap". They then (finally) provided an AusPost tracking number, which never appeared to be activated. When the item arrived, it was sent in its box in a paper envelope without any padding, so of course the box was quite crushed when it arrived. I've since reached out due to problems I'm now having with audio quality issues with the product and they haven't responded after a week. At this point, I see it as a lost cause and have requested a refund via PayPal directly. I'm just glad I didn't buy anything more important than this one small item from the store.

    When researching my purchase of a Kawai K300 (my second Kawai) I rang the Carlingford Music Centre and asked the gentleman with whom I spoke about a cover for the piano. He advised against using a cover, saying it would not be good for the piano. I saw from his response that he was not simply concerned with selling pianos but also looking after them - even if it was not one that they had sold. This inclined me to want to buy my piano from them - none of the other dealerships had responded to my questioning in that way. My looking through their website reinforced my perception of them - I found their music catalogue wide-ranging and one that I would return to. I related with Ned, their director, who I found to be professional and I bought my piano from him - I am now the proud owner of a K300 - which they made an effort to have delivered on the day I asked for it to be delivered. I said to Ned - and am very happy to repeat it here - that I am glad I bought my piano from them. I am sure that if I have any questions about the piano they will be happy to answer them.

    Gentlemen I dealt with were both very helpful. I had visited several other stores but despite the distance to travel to Carlingford from Newport I found their expertise on keyboards excellent. I made 2 visits, the second I was accompanied by another woman from my church and she agreed the chosen keyboard had the best organ sound and came in within our budget!

    They have a new website which has lots of problems, so I spoke over the phone to place my order. The staff member was very helpful and offered free shipping. Two weeks later my items had not arrived and I had not heard anything from them. I rang them and they explained that some of the items I ordered were not in stock. This should have been conveyed to me when I place the order. They offered to send out the items they did have in stock. I received the items in good condition and quickly. The reason for the average rating is the unprofessional communication and lack of attention to detail regarding stock levels. I always order items several weeks in advance of needing them so I my business is not affected by the very things that happened. I still don't have my full order 3 weeks out from the original order date and still have no information as to when these items will be available.

    It was an incredibly disappointing experience. I ordered an item online, then called to enquire about ETA. It was explained that the item was not currently in stock and would take a fair while to receive (it was not stated on the website when I placed the order that this was the case). An alternative was offered, and I was told to email in with the details of my order and someone would respond. I followed up a week later after no response, then again a week later. Finally someone replied and offered alternatives. In the end, I decided to simply cancel my order. I emailed two more times requesting a cancellation, with no replies. Two weeks later, I receive an email stating that my order was filled and that it was being shipped. At this stage I had already ordered off another site and (as previously mentioned) no longer wanted the item. I called in, gave my name for the order, and was simply told that "I will let him know". No idea who was going to let who know what, and more importantly, when I was getting my money back. I called in again later that day (about 6 hours later after receiving no return phone call) and finally, someone looked into it, the item was still at the store apparently, and cancelled my order. There was still no confirmation of it being cancelled, or when I would receive my refund. It was only when I got a message from my bank two days later saying that there was a refund, that I knew it was sorted. Horrendous communication, and frankly quite a dismissive attitude dealing with every aspect, from sale, through exchange, and finally refund. I placed my order on the 19th of May, requested the cancellation and refund on the 9th of June and received my refund on 2nd of July. Throughout this ordeal I sent 6 emails (to which 1 response came), and made 4 phone calls, none of which were returned.
