  My grandson likes it and is able to navigate around the software by himself and he is 5 years old. It is fast paced and he doesn't get bored wanting to get more coins etc.

  My daughter loves the reading eggs/math seeds program (especially mango the monkey). She started the program at age 2. She has a diagnosis of Autism and her interests (while expanding) have always been in understanding letters and numbers. The most majical part of this program for me is watching my daughter’s vocabulary and self confidence improve every time she plays. It has been a wonderful way to engage her in conversation and a great bonding activity. I think this program is far more then a reading and math program and has transformed my daughter. I love watching my daughter recieve the positive reenforcement and the creative ways the program revisits learnt skills.

  Life-changing! In February this year, we were told that my Grade 1 daughter likely wouldn't be able to learn to read. The teacher recommended moving her to a special school for kids with academic issues. Covid hit, we went into lockdown in South Africa, and the schools closed, which meant home-schooling for us. A friend told me about Reading Eggs, so we signed up and got started with the program. The impact was immense! My daughter thoroughly enjoyed the lessons, the concepts just clicked into place, and her confidence soared. 8 months later, she reads independently. Her 'secret' act of rebellion is keeping a torch under her pillow to read bedtime stories to her little sister after we tuck them in! The program is user-friendly and loads of FUN for the kids. I now recommend it to EVERYONE :) Thank you!!!

  Navigation of the site isnt great. Tried to cancel my subscription and couldn't find out how to do it. I simply can't afford it anymore given the state of today's world and losing my job to civd 19.

  The content is excellent for my boy. However the program does not support playlist for selected videos to play one after another, it means someone has to press next after each video that last about 1 min or less. Secondly the program has to be on active screen on the laptop. We cast the video onto the a TV but still unable to use the laptop while running the program. Would appreciate if Reading Eggs could improve on these areas to help the parents :) Thank you.

  My little one loves reading eggs and I feel less guilty letting him use the iPad because I know he is learning. His number and letter recognition has really improved since using reading eggs! I’ve been recommending it to all my friends.

  ABC reading eggs has been amazing and I can’t believe my 4 year old started reading within about 2 months. All with very little help from us. My 3 year old is already picking up on his activities and it keeps them occupied for few hours a week all in a good way. I’m glad I decided to join my kids in this great program.

  I signed up to reading eggs during the first lockdown and cannot believe the progress my 5 year old son has made with both his literacy and maths skills. I was sceptical at first but he’s now working though lessons independently and confidently. It’s a great tool for getting ready for school or assisting while remote learning! Highly recommend it!

  Reading Eggs is a fantastic resource. Easy to login and easy for my 7 year old daughter to navigate around. My daughter was struggling a little at school especially with phonics and in general reading. Since having reading eggs her whole reading world has changed. She is so much more confident in her pronouncing of words, sounding out hard words and her confidence in reading a book right through. We simply have seen such a dramatic change over just a month and she is so proud of getting ahead at school. Thanks.

  The online Reading Eggs and Maths Seed program is designed to engage children, motivate them and help them learn ! I am so impressed with my 4 year old who is learning how to subtract, add, group numbers, read words and sound words out, recognise letters and even read short sentences. We use the books in conjunction with the online program , and already she is transferring her acquired knowledge into her every day activities, reading text that appears on television, reading messages on signs, books, even on my phone! We highly recommend Reading Eggs and with the support and encouragement you as a parent, to help your children develop a love for the program, reading will come easily to them. I recommend that you encourage your children to play the Reading Eggs and Math Seed games, rather than other games that are not educational, as their main 'entertainment' , otherwise, they will become too interested in other games that are not actually teaching them the very essential skills they need- reading and writing. Reading is knowledge, knowledge is Power. Thank you Reading Eggs.

  Not made for cell phones - bottom keyboard too low. Over loaded, can't get onto to site. My son liked your games earlier but they have changed and he doesn't like them anymore so has no interest in earning eggs any more. I'm not happy with reading eggs at all.

  This application has been a highlight of the year 2020 for both my 4 year old and myself! She is engaged in learning which is made fun and Im astounded we havevalready read over 100 books together thanks to the digital assets. A well thought out, challenging growth experience for children I would recommend to anyone with a helpful customer service team to boot.

  We love Reading Eggs! The structure and pace is spot on. Not only that but my daughter loves it and is always asking to do her reading eggs. The suite of resources is extensive and well organised.   Highly recommend! My 6 year old is learning whilst having fun which makes him want to do it. His comprehension of words, sounds and sentences is because of extra learning with reading eggs. It reinforces classroom basics of phonics in an easy way, which he retains.

  I have been doing the readingeggs online with my grandson for a few months. He loves it and so do I - its a great way to stay connected during lockdown BUT we are beginning to get frustrated because the site is very hard to navigate - the activities button doesnt work at all - I thought that might be because we were using the free version for a while but when I signed up and paid nothing changed- so the only way we find the activities is by backtracking through the video or book buttons - it's frustrating to him when he knows where he wants to go. Also, it's very easy to get lost, which is not entirely a bad ting- you stumble across new characters and whole new concepts, but if you want to go somewhere specific, that can be frustrating. As a remote learning tool for a not quite 3 year old it's been fantastic though. I have recommended it ot many people. Even though he is not in control of the mouse, he uses a soft stick to point at things on the screen, and that seems to work well. It would be even better if i could see what he is seeing and pointing at, but maybe setting up a mirror behind him would do the trick. Interested to know how others are using this remotely. I bought the books as well so sometimes he will do the reading with his parents in the morning then come to me in the afternoon for the screen version - this is a great double and he is very close to reading now, sounding out the words and recognising the letters and sounds. His parents have found it a great distraction especially at the cooking dinner time of day!

  It's been a great experience using reading eggs with Henry. We've had two lock-downs in NZ this year and this has been a tremendous resource during the time confined to home and we have continued using Reading Eggs since returning to school. Thank you for all your hard work in designing a Gold class standard reading app, that has benefited millions of young readers worldwide.

  I signed up for the 1 month free trial for my 7yr old to use during the covid 19 lockdown. While she has always had a love of books she has struggled a bit and was beginning to be reluctant to read if she could avoid it she would. Her reading was well below where it should be for her age and within the 4 weeks her confidence in reading and decoding words sky rocketed. I then took up the offer of the year subscription to both reading eggs and math seeds and have found she has a passion for maths as well as reading. She has now after 5 months of using these gone up 5 reading levels and been moved into a more challenging maths group, right where she should be for her age right where she should be for her age. Thank you for helping my daughter find her passion for literacy again. She is now onto reading Express. Also I cannot stress how cool math seeds is too.

  My 3yr old loves this program and is already reading confidently AND comprehending what she reads! She also loves the math seeds program and now shouts at the top of her voice the numbers she sees when we’re out and about!   its so easy to know where you are & what you need to do next our 6 year old does it all himself. our son is 6 & autistic & in ISO we've tried to focus on learning the sounds & letter & try to read as normally he would just flat out refuse so everytime school work got to much we'd offer reading eggs & he loved it & even asked if he could. 2nd time round in ISO he is actually reading the sentences & books when it is time in the Peaks even though he still says he cant read! it is so worth the money, give it a go!

  Buggy, long delays loading after selections which is not appreciated by a 3 year old. Often need to shut down the app and re-start. We often have to give up for the day as it isn’t working.

  Hi Katy, i think ABC Reading Eggs is an amazing resource to have in terms of helping kids learn, however, in our case, my child is my foster child & due to neglect he had not been to school since 2017 & is now old enough to be in high school but he cannot read or write and he has short term memory issues, As a result when we do Lessons on ABC Reading Eggs either the computer or myself has to read the books, questions & answers to him & with his memory issues i have to prompt him & steer him a bit, so although we started at year 4 reading level & are now at year 6 reading level the results he is getting aren't really a true reflection of where he is up to. Despite this, the fact that he both wants to do reading eggs & asks to do reading eggs makes me very happy as it shows me he really does want to learn.

  Reading Eggs is great! My 6 year old kindergarten daughter loves the programs, they are fun, easy to navigate, and keep them interested. It is also helping my daughter pronounce her words alot better, and the new Fast Phonics is amazing. Definitely recommend.

  LOVED THE TRIAL ON MY LAPTOP.GOT THE BOYS TSBKETS THOUGHT THIS WILL BE AWESOME. FREEZES EVERY OTHER GSME. NOTHING IVE TRIED WORKS. HAVE CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE NO REPLY YET. JUST FEEL LIKE I WASTED $150 ITS DO HSRD TO KEEP KIDS INTERESTED AND IT WAS GREAT WHEN JT WAS EORKING SLIGHTLY REPETITIVE AND IT DOESNT LET YOU SKIP ALL. Why am I writing in caps.   Reading eggs is amazing!! I have watched my 5 year old son evolving in a few weeks, from not being able to even understand the concept of phonics, to reading words with confidence and excitement. Which is doubly amazing since English is a foreign language for him! And I have the pleasure of witnessing his journey. He loves the characters, the songs, the graphics, the games and deciding what to buy with the awards he gets! Thank you so much for creating such a great resource.   My three kids have all learned to read with Reading Eggs. It was part of the Prep curriculum at school for the first two; they loved it. I decided to download it for my youngest even though he’s only in kinder, as I could see the benefit in learning phonics and wanted him to be confident and thrive when he starts school. He’s picked it up and loves it, and I am especially glad to have given him a boost considering how disruptive the pandemic is/will be to formal school.

  Being a Grandmother from a rural community with no Kindergarten in the vicinity I thought that Reading Eggs would be a valuable tool in helping my Grandson learn his phonics. With him being just 4 years old and a left hander, it was a little difficult to get him to use the 'mouse' but he is slowly getting used to it and is now really enjoying the experience. When he becomes tired or is having trouble with the mouse I just get him to point to the correct answers on the screen and I can press the button. It is really good how you can go back to redo the lessons when you have too and I have found that we have not progressed very far but my Grandson is starting to remember a lot more of what we have had to go over.   The program is just fantastic! My little one is only 4 and her reading age is at 5.25 years! And she has only been on the program for 3 days a week for 5 months! To see my little girl recognise words and sentences and excitedly read them to me makes me so happy and proud. And getting her to do her lessons is so easy because the program is so fun and exciting, there is no hesitation from her part. I highly recommend this program to anyone who wants their children to start reading but don't know how to go about it. The content is fun, colourful, interactive, the lessons aren't too long so the child doesn't lose interest and there is enough repetition and review so the child doesn't forget what they learnt previously.

  My kids aged 7 and 5 absolutely love reading eggs. The interactive characters make learning so much fun! I have found reading eggs to be an incredible tool to making reading enjoyable and the pace at which my kids are learning phonics has definitely increased.   I’m very happy with the program at this point. My one feedback is for the Mathseeds program. It seems the children need to be able to read for sone of the activities and quizzes. Perhaps the inclusion of the speaker icon and functionality to have the words read to the children could be considered? My son is only 4 and has just commenced his literacy journey, however his mathematical aptitude is well advanced (he could recognise numbers, colours and shapes before he could speak). We were hoping Nathseeds could provide him extension opportunities but the reading requirement has been limiting to him. Overall we love the program - just sone feedback that may be useful??

  Reading Eggs is amazing - my daughter has dashed towards being able to read with its help. She enjoys doing it and feels a sense of achievement in doing the lessons. I was going to make it a 4 star review - because the interface feels a little old compared to brand new apps - but I think thats because there is an enormous amount of content, and its also reverse compatible for the most part with old ipads and browsers. I think keeping a content warehouse like this open to all kids with all devices is worthy of a 5 star review.

  Fantastic rich material really gets the kids hooked and they naturally learn to read with enthusiasm. Our third child is now onto it and there's no need for encouragement. Our second child is now a good reader, self motivated, but the more advanced reading eggs material such as comprehension activities are helping him, once again without any need to push him.

  My 5 year old has been using reading eggs for a little bit now and while the early levels are so easy that they can just guess and win and proceed to the next level it quickly gets to a point where guessing doesn't help and they just get stuck and frustrated and get nowhere with it. Now they just don't even want to use it.

  Thanks for the tip. I had already restarted her once and the idea of being so close to the end and having to start again is just devasting for her hence the issues. I think/feel there needs to be more importance put into ensuring they understand a particular letter or sound before they progress and are expected to know it.   It is a good app however we have been having issues with it freezing up on the loading screen on an iPad Pro when on guided access mode. This becomes quite frustrating. The app and the educational side is good. It could have more content and be expanded on which would come over time. I think the maths side should be added too as for what you get (value) it is quite expensive. Definitely wouldn’t pay full price when renewal comes along.

  Our boys, aged 12 and 8, were both struggling with reading. Not interested, bored, alway avoiding the opportunity to read. So, we got them onto Reading Eggs. The first great aspect is that they were placed at their level. On the one hand, this opened their eyes to how they compared vs. their age level and peers. So, this created a kind of lightbulb moment, especially for our oldest, that he genuinely needed to do something. Secondly, it allowed them to build from their real level, rather than frustrating them at the level they "should have been at". The results have been impressive. They've both made massive leaps and bounds. Their teachers have noticed it and most important of all, they have developed the passion for reading. They spontaneously now take to their books, and devour them. Interestingly, their speaking has also improved and they are better able to articulate thoughts and arguments with a wider use of vocabulary. Lastly, they are having fun. They are learning in an easy, entertaining and encouraging way. I cannot recommend this enough.

  A sensational program designed with kids in mind. My 4 year old is gaining so much from doing the activities daily.   There is a lot of good stuff and I'd recommend the ap but to get five stars it does need to keep developing. At a point our child just associates the image with the correct answer and if you change the stimulus, if I show her the same word in a book she can't read it. So perhaps phonics need to be introduced and more steps put in. Our girl zipped through but at a point it seems to make a significant jump in reading ability and she has to stop and we are trying to find a way to overcome this gap.

  Reading eggs is engaging, my son has adhd and odd so doesn’t like the idea of using reading eggs, however once he has started he enjoys himself while he is learning. Some nights are harder than others to convince him to pick it up, but once he has he does enjoy it. The only downside is there are no print offs, with how much it costs we should get sent something in the mail once a month for where are children have progressed.

  I have been so happy with reading eggs, my four year old daughter has started reading since we started using reading eggs 8 weeks ago. I was so surprised and happy that she has enjoyed it so much and she is proof that it really helps with their literacy skills. My three year old has also been enjoying the interactive games and has gone from showing no interest in reading and writing to recognising most of his letters and numbers.

  Its been great on all levels. My 6 y.o. daughter has gone from the bottom of her reading group in class (Lvl 1) to mid-level (Lvl 4) in a little over 4 weeks. The repetition of exercises locks in her phonetic knowledge and reading skills. I'm really impressed so far.   Once you can get the program to work, it is a fantastic supplement to other educational activities. The use of ReadingEggs and Mathseed complimented our own teaching of our pre-school children. There is a good mix of repetition and introduction of new concepts. We found both ReadingEggs Learning Maps and Mathseed Learning Maps to be excellent. Our experiences with the supplementary activities in those programs was not as good. ReadingExpress and other programs associated, we also found were not as engaging or educationally as well structured. The program works best on new iPads/tablets. We had to run the program either on a laptop computer (pre-schoolers found the computer mouse difficult for the required tasks), older iPads (struggled to run software) or a new Smartphone (most sizing of objects didn't work well). Team were great in trying to help us log into the system, although it took us 6 weeks to resolve the issues (time lost from our membership). So long as you have the right hardware to start with, this will be a great asset to any teaching program. We have found these two programs most valuable for 4yo Kindergarten and Prep years, especially as our children have not been learning at the same pace as the other children. It was a good extension opportunity.

  The site is hard to navigate when uou want to get from one activity to the next and I find it a bit overwhelming with so much to do and what we need to do for each heading.   Overall very useful and easy to navigate. Just a couple of suggestions here, in mathseeds, i find there are a lot of unnecessary songs/breaks or chats between the characters that should really he replaced with actual maths actibities. I feel my daughter is not doing much because half of the time she is just staring at the screen because of a song that is not needed. Also, when we did the placement test, she was placed at level 11. Given the fact that she gas dkipped the lessons about numbers 1-6 (or so), she has no clue what the words of the numbers look like tet she us required to know them in the later levels. Perhaps you need to review what the words are not just matching numbers with the word.

  On the whole good content but the app and the website crash all the time which is very frustrating. Usually we can do about 30 minutes before it starts crashing.

  The design of program in general is great. Our kid loves it, only occationally, it may crash or stop responding not sure is it due to the internet speed.

  I purchased the math seeds for my children to complement the reading eggs program they were already using. They love using the programs as it is fun and engaging, and improved their learning and understanding more than I could help them by myself. Highly recommend.

  Hard to navigate - pictures and icons for a menu do not tell 1000 words There is a lot of video content that is not very educational ie trucks App crashes daily

  There is nothing wrong with my technical requirements as it is a recent iPad The many many videos and lack of structure or navigation As an example the trucks videos seem to have no educational content and are just a distraction Also if you navigate to lessons there is no way to navigate back

  As a parent if you don't know how to start teaching your kids to read, readings eggs is the best place to start. I had no issues with my 5 year old doing it online unaided after a month or so. I coupled the online course with the workbooks and it had helped solidify what's she learns online .

  We have been really pleased with joining Reading Eggs and Mathseeds. It supports our kids' school learning and while we are schooling from home during the virus period it helps me convince the kids to do some of their school work in return for getting to do their Reading Eggs or Mathseeds. They look forward to it every day!

  My grand daughters have been using this all month. at first i was getting a message telling me what they have done. I have not received any messages for a while even though they have done some lessions. I know this because they were right beside me.
