  I got reading eggs for my grandson. He was never a child who would sit still and let you read or try to teach him. My daughter in law told me about reading eggs as it had work greatly with her daughter. Since we have had it my grandson wants to do it and has improved greatly. He wants to do it now and asks for it. Maybe because it is fun and doesn’t seem like work.

  readingeggs.com.au is the best experience for me and my children as you can do so many activities, plus the parent access is wonderful to be able to retest your child's level and the extra work /revision sheets are brilliant. My children love this app as it has games lovely music it is just tailored to catch a child's imagination for learning.

  My daughter loves reading eggs. She is a younger student in her year group and was behind her peers. Reading Eggs was a fun and enjoyable way for her to learn her phonetics without feeling like a chore. She enjoyed creating her own Avatar and we used being able to change its appearance as a prize when she completed 5 phonics. She often asks to 'play Reading Eggs' in her spare time and she has improved dramatically at school.

  Some functions are a little confusing for me as an adult even more so with a child. Also renewing seemed to be a full scale navigation of deals offered but not necessarily honored at renewing time

  Hi Rebecca I can confirm that our development team are currently working to create an app for compatible android devices. Please be aware however that the IOS app is simply a shortcut to the online program. Internet connection is required at all times. The Android app will be designed in this way as well.   Wonderful. My Grandson started this when he was in Kindy and was a great help. He is in 1st Class now and is having a little break from reading eggs at the moment but I'm sure he will get back to it

  I can't recommend this program highly enough! It has taught my 5 year old son to read so effortlessly. He began the 120 lesson Reading Eggs program last year when he was in Kindergarten and whizzed through it just over a year. We never pushed him into doing the lessons. It was always only if he asked specifically to do it. And he loved it so much that we would often have to say "That's enough for tonight". :-)

  Easy for my kids to interact with the apps and work their way through the levels. The kids have fun while learning skills that support what they learn at school. They enjoy the reward games too.

  My three and a half year old grandson is having a ball with Mathseeds and Reading Eggs. We have a lot of fun doing it together and love the"well done" jingles, and the only recently discovered certificates, which he takes home to his mum and dad with great pride. Both programs have taken maths and reading into the real world: finding letters on road signs, measuring everything on the kitchen table and more. It's also me a few things about maths and taught him a bit of learning about persistence - when things get hard you have another go. They are great programs, so well designed.

  I love Reading Eggs more than my son. We sit together and try to do two to tree lessons a week but he gets very frustrated when he fails on any of the exercises to the point that he wants to reverse/ "delete" the failure. I think this is because he is very competitive and perfectionist and does not tolerate making mistakes. However I notice how much he is progressing on his literacy skills thanks to the program. I have recommended it to friends with pre school kids. Only I would like the program to have a tracing exercise for the children to practice writing the letters. At the moment my son can trace the letters by dot to dot. I know a tracing exercise is not possible if the device does not have a touch screen pad but for tablets this will be a very good thing as it is more realistic.

  New version is too difficult for kids age around 2-3. Last year, my kid enjoy the puzzles game in the reading eggs, but this year with new version, we could not find it anymore.

  Fantastic! My son's reading has improved so much since using the program. I love that he asks to go on the computer to use it and the way the program is delivered is fantastic!

  Very often the program freezes, especially when my child gets to the book at the end of each lesson. All we get is blank pages and then we have to delete the app, re-load it again, re-log, in order to continue the lesson. Its a pain. I logged the problem but was told to use a laptop instead of iPad. For a small child, laptops are not practical.

  If I were to recommend any educational resource, it would be Reading Eggs. It is by far the best reading resource I have ever seen (and I am a primary school teacher). I’ve used it in the classroom, and students love it! I also use it with my daughter. My 2 year old has already completed the Reading Eggs Junior and is working on Reading Eggs. She has learned her alphabet and sounds and is starting to read simple words. She can not put it down! I’m one of those people who generally don’t leave reviews, but I liked Reading Eggs so much, I had to leave a review! Thank you for supporting my child’s education and making it so fun!

  My children love ‘ playing’ reading eggs. And I love that they are learning while they think they are playing! I appreciate the emails when each child has completed a map, and also the free printables which help to reinforce and consolidate skills learnt whilst practising fine motor skills.

  This is a fun interactive learning tool. My three daughters have learnt so much through reading eggs. Most of the time they do this independantly, and when I come to watch them, it surprises me how much they have learnt.

  i found my daughter ended just playing around in the games section instead of reading eggs. as i dont think children should be spending vast amounts of time on the computer i found its better to just learn how to read the old way with out added distraction. why all the extra stuff?

  I first heard about this from a friend and did some research and though it was a positive learning aid, KitTy started prep this year and is and I asked her teacher she said the both her children had used it and found it to be very good especillay in the early development stage, went home bought it and well I am astounded at the phonic and reading kitty does it at bed time after I and she read each other some stories, I watch tv and she lies beside me doing phonics and it’s just incredible, if she gets stuck I usually say figure it out and when she gets a bit frustrated that she can’t work it I step in and say let start again,which I find works well. It is as far as I’m concerned and extremely good tool as now I have to say right oh that’s enough for tonight ohh daddy 5 more minutes so to me when you hear them say I am enjoying this ( five more minutes) I’ll let her have it. 5 star put some effort into it in the beginning and you’ll enjoy there excitement and achievements as they progress.

  A fun, entertaining way for children to learn to read without really realising it. The games are challenging and if they fail they can try again and again until they get it right. The characters are entertaining and the format encourages them to strive for the next level.I use this site as a reward when they ask to go on the ipad and 'watch' something- it is a great educational alternative to netflix! My daughter is 6 and is now starting to read books with no pictures. My son is 3 and he has completed the junior 2-4 section, knows the alphabet and is on his way with the 4-6 level now.

  Reading eggs is an awesome platform for little learners. I’ve found the kids love the games and videos. The website is easy to navigate and the program has fantastic building blocks to help children learn in a step by step manner. We’re so glad we found Reading eggs.

  What a fantastic form of education. My 7 year old has always struggled with his reading & writing. Knowing repetition & practice was the key to his improvement I struggled to get him participate with any practice without an argument. Reading Eggs has changed that, he loves to do it every day & I no longer have tears or anger about it. He’s improved so much, highly recommend it for all levels.

  Reading Eggs is an amazing program to get children ready for school and to progress their learning while at school. My two grandchildren, aged 8 and 7 absolutely love it, and enjoy getting their achievement certificates once they complete an activity.

  We love Reading Eggs! As a teacher and mum of a 5 year old starting his reading journey I am so pleased with the program. It covers all bases for early reading skills, letter, sound and word recognition and amongst all of that it’s fun!! Would recommend to every family!!

  I really love watching my 3-year-old daughter in the beginning phases of learning to read. We sit together and she explains to me what she needs to do. The instructions are clear and easy for her to follow, and she gets such a great sense of pride in her achievements when she progresses through the levels. As a teacher, I know how important it is for her to enjoy reading and to not feel pressured, so this app is great!

  Touch screen sometimes requires a few touches. Should block kids from skipping the instructions, they don't listen and go straight to the activity. It is then hit or miss if they can intuitively work out the intent of the activity. Better catalogue of available worksheets is required.

  It stalls, freezes, someone you can play the activities without sound. For the price of subscription it was not worth it. Will not buy it again
