  It's very difficult to navigate, I struggle to find things and where I'm supposed to go to do anything in the program. The majority of the books don't work (the ones accessed in activities done on the map). I purchased 2 licenses for this, one for my 2 year old and one for my 4 year old. I had two sessions open, one for each of them, logged into their individual accounts. My 2 year old made a large amount of progress, I turned my computer off, and upon logging back in again, it had all been saved to my 4 year old's account, so it appears you can't have two separate windows open at once for both your kids. To make the progress back, we will have to start over again. This isn't useful, as both my kids want to engage in readings eggs together, and we "take turns" between them so as not to wear them out too quickly. Overall its a very clunky system, employing some proper web designers would probably help greatly with the design and usability of the programs.

  This is a fantastic educational tool and the best thing about it is how much our 5 year old loves it. I actually use it as a reward for him when he completes his readers and sight words for school. It is fun and interactive so it keeps him interested and he has learnt so much since we started it a month ago. We also purchased Mathseed which is also great. Definitely worth the money - 5 stars!

  My 5 yo loves it and is picking things up well. Only issue is that it’s just so slow to load new tasks etc and she gets a bit impatient and gives up at times. Do you perhaps have a server problem?

  My son loves to do the reading egg games and quizzes and loves the mathseeds also. I wish that some of the programs were available off-line or able to download so we could use when the internet isn’t available, that’s the only real downfall. The programs change each level to keep my son interested and he always gets excited to get his critter when he has finished a level.

  My grand daughters love reading eggs. They are 7 & 4. The 7 year old bought it home early last year and I bought a subscription so the 4 year old could use it too, just thinking she would do the first one, but now she is in the proper version and also doing Mathseeds, so I am very happy. Whenever they come over here (which is quite often) they always want to do reading eggs Whenever I have had an issue with it the staff at the end of the emails have been extremely helpful and very supportive. I have finally taken it out of Explorer and put it in Chrome and it works so much better. Great product for early childhood learning, ad the children find it easy to use and are happy to go on and probably don't realise they are actually learning something. Love it.

  I like reading eggs but am frustrated that there is no app for Android. It means I have to give my kids access to a browser that I would prefer not to. It also doesn’t work on their 8inch Samsung tablets. If these things remain unchanged we will not be renewing our subscription.

  Excellent material however the programs lags so much that my children lose interest because sometimes I have to restart the app many times. Maths material more engaging that the English.

  My boy who just started the school year and was never really into learning, he absolutely loves it and it helps him consolidate the learning in the classroom. He has actually come a long way from the start of the year.

  Reading eggs is great. It is an engaging way for kids to learn. The reason I haven’t given a better review is because we find the app/Web content freezes often. This is frustrating for a paid service.

  “Eggscellent”!!! Fantastic program for kids that’s enjoyable and educational at the same time. Reading Eggs has provided a great foundation for our son’s first reading skills. We have been using these programs for about 3 yrs now, and in that time the programs get continuously reviewed and improved, which shows that this company have really listened to consumer feedback. Highly recommended.

  My little grandson wanted to watch kids you tube and that’s fine supervised. It was always when he was a bit tired. After purchasing reading eggs at a bargain price discounted special, he is now enjoying the iPad but learning to read and all sorts of activities with colours and stories. It’s great and I think it’s really good for his learning and capabilities at his own pace. Very happy.

  Great. The only issue I have is that it's to easy for a kid to just guess his way through such that they were starting to struggle. Supplementing with another program allowed them to step back and catch up.

  The website is clear and easy to use and the cost is very reasonable. My son is a visual learner and in particular loves anything computer related. At school, even going to reading recovery, he was not making much progress in reading, as soon as we started using Reading Eggs his reading skills excelerated tremendously, he now reads well above his age level and we believe that is because he found Reading Eggs fun as well as learning easily from it.

  Great idea. Good information. But app is clunky. Needs an update. Navigation needs improvement as sometimes it's hard to go back or exit certain areas. Logs out user too regularly. Images are dated somewhat and graphics need a refresh for something that costs so much per year Mathletics is easier to use and looks fresher

  The progress report in ReadingEggspress is great. Would like to have the same feature in MathSeeds. Also, the money questions in Mathseeds are using Australian coins. It would be good to show New Zealand coins/notes as we are NZ users.

  In the ability to inspire, educate and provide a platform for children to grow, it's amazing. I was a teacher for many years and I love the lessons and the activities! But, it not being an app for android is both annoying as a parent who relies on kids mode as as a consumer, since android is such a standard operating system for for tablets and phones. I continue to hear it's coming but no release date. My son can only access it from the website which isn't accessible in kids mode, and puts him in a situation where he presses the wrong link by accident and he is off on other websites. or having access to apps that are inappropriate such as my facebook, fitbit, banking. It's extremely annoying, that while I do like to monitor my child on his devices, I dislike having to always redirect him to the web page, simply because there is no app for android.

  This website is easy to use and highly educational for children. I have two little girls and they love doing their reading eggs and because of it we don't have the usual backward step after school holidays. This helps to cement what they are learning as well as allowing them to move forward at their own pace. Highly recommend.

  I started my granddaughter on Reading Eggs when she was 4 years old. She is now just over 5 years old and is an amazing wee reader. She can read at a higher level of accuracy and comprehension than some of her peers in a year 2 class. She is able to decode tricky words quickly because she knows all her letter names and sounds. Thank you Reading Eggs - this have given her such a great start to her schooling career.

  This is an amazing help in the education system for my daughter. We buy the lesson books and maps to help further so everything isn't done just on computer. I would like to know if there is any corresponding books for the mathseeds?. My daughter enjoys being able to see the end result of the critters on her map. She does seem to have trouble when it comes time to do the quiz at the end. I recommend reading eggs to all the home schooling families we meet. We would love it if she could do the driving tests from the start, instead of having to wait 40 lessons

  I love reading eggs and mathseeds and I believe it is part of the reason my sons that are 5 and 8 years old are excelling at school. Both of their teachers have said my sons are very clever and are doing very well in school. Both are reading above their age levels. My 8 year old has been an independant reader since he was 7. Its nice to know that I dont have to worry about my kids struggling with reading and maths at school. 😁

  I was wanting an app that was fun and educational, and there didnt seem to be much choice. Reading Eggs has been the best thing ever, my daughter loves it, and her reading is seriously incredible in such a short time. Definitely worth every cent, thanks reading eggs!!

  Excellent program! Has definitely helped with reading level and thw kids love it! The fact that they think theyre just playing games is awesome! Not looking forward to the day when we get sprung that its not just a screen time treat). Mathseeds nice to have as well. Only negative: sometimes program faults in middle of lessons or games. Sound cuts out or screen freezes. Refresh fixes it everytime but sometimes leaves me with a grumpy 5yr old :P

  The programe is good overall, however, my Autistic son found some of the games hard to navigate as he moved up the maps. They were 'cluttered' and fast paced and he couldn't deal with it - he was overwhelmed by it, so we stopped using it.

  My girls Katie 7yo and Emily 5yo both love Reading Eggs. Katie can now read independently in Class and Emily is catching up. Both now advances readers in their class.

  My son wasn't very interested in reading and just couldn't pick up anything last year but we got him reading eggs because his cousin loved it and now my boy can't get enough of reading. He just started prep this year and got the excellence in reading award for term 1 (best in his class for the term) even though he couldn't read anything but his name when we signed up.

  The concept is good however the application (IOS) freeze from time to time where I have to end the application and re-launch where all the work my son did on the iPad is lost. Not sure if the application freezing due to connection to server or not. Our internet link is close to 100Mbps so I could rule out network congestion issue at our end. Plus from times to times, the application lost the login credentials where I have to login again for my son. Not sure if this was by design or the application unable to remember the logon credentials even when this option is selected.

  Content is engaging and stimulating. App and website need work as they freeze when it is played for over 10 minutes. Better to use the website because you can refresh the page whereas the App you need to turn off the device and then back on again to be able to get it to progress. If this was fixed would score 5/5.

  It's okay at best. Some of the activities are written in a confusing way. A lot of the images' meanings are not obvious to a child (or sometimes an adult). Subscription is expensive. Apps are buggy for the price.

  Great way to teach your child multiple strategies in Maths. It would be nice if they put the larger number first when adding instead of always starting with the first number in the addition sum. Would also be wonderful if Mathseeds extended to upper primary age.

  We bought Reading Eggs for my daughter when she was 4. At that stage she could only recognise a few letters. After a couple of months, her reading took off and she is doing remarkably well. My wife and I still read to her every night, but she would definitely not be as advanced without Reading Egg’s targeted lessons. We are definitely happy that we bought it and will use it on our younger son when he is a bit older.

  Reading Eggs has been a part of our family’s learning for the past 8 years. All 4 children have participated in the program which has excelled their reading beyond their school grade expected levels by a year. This fun and engaging program’s repetition and cleverly put together activities is enjoyable for young children. I highly recommend the program as well as the Math Seeds program. These programs have allowed my children to enter their formal year’s of schooling with a head start.

  I spent a lot of time teaching my firstborn to read and consequently he was miles ahead by the time he started school. With my second born I just didn't make the time and so although she was very smart, her reading wasn't close to where her brother was at her age. I knew she was hungry to learn and as I was already familiar with reading eggs through my son having been introduced to it at school, I decided to buy my daughter a subscription for her fourth birthday. Now, one year later, her reading ability has gone ahead in leaps and bounds from where she was prior to using reading eggs. A year ago she was able to recite her ABC's fluently but did not recognise many of the letters on paper. She has used reading eggs almost independently during the past 12 months and still managed to learn so much, mostly unassisted by me. She started kindy this year (still at the age of 4) and although younger than many of her classmates she is among the brightest kids in her class. Reading eggs is a great educational tool and it works. I highly recommend it!

  Combined with Math Seeds, both program offers a comprehensive, well-paced, progressive program that allows my child to move at their own pace, review past lessons to reinforce concepts and share the joy of learning through playful activities. All the additional components, also bring a varied approach to such topics as Spelling, Comprehension... to name a couple.   My grandchildren really enjoy doing the reading and Maths activities on Reading Eggs. They love the characters and receiving the instant, constant, positive feedback which always puts a smile on their faces. The rewards system incorporated throughout is very effective and enjoyable.   I was very impressed with reading eggs when I signed up for my grandson. His reading improved immediately and he was winning awards at school for his reading ability. But as he got older, (he is 7 now ) he told me he was bored with it and he found it repetitious (which worked wonderfully when he was younger). He seems to have hit a wall and I suggested he start to do the lessons appropriate to his age now, but he won't be tempted. Now I don't know how to make it interesting for him again. I have always loved reading books to him and encouraged him to read as well. I wonder if it's possible to get the little critters that hatch from the eggs at the beginning of each lesson? Jamie loves them and the game we love to play is finding all the critters within a time limit. I thought that might be an incentive to keep up the lessons. Than you for this opportunity.

It sounds as though he is now working at a lesson level that is too low for him, which is resulting in loss of interest. The Reading Eggs program is generally aimed for children up to 7 years of age, and the Reading Eggspress program from 7 - 13 years of age. I would suggest that you reset the Placement Test for him which will reassess his level and place him within the program according to his ability. Mainly because I don't want to spoil it, I want to keep it as a fun thing to do while he's at Nanny's house. At the same time he is becoming further behind his appropriate level.   great graphics, funny, bright colours, but it is slow, crashes often, so is frustrating to the child to have to do it again Also very repetitive. I think it is great for younger kids - up to 6 or so, but the older kids lose interest fast as it is just too slow for them and doesn't hold interest. Overall it has been a suitable tool for early reading and spelling learning.

  This program is pretty good but there are a few glitches, and some content that is confusing for a young learner, but on the most part my boy enjoyed the activities and definitely got sone reading skills. My little ones enjoyed using the junior reading eggs, but i probably wouldnt pay for the program just for junior eggs. Used this for a 3-4yo to begin reading.

  Max was born in Vietnam and we moved here just before he started kinder....so he was weak in some areas of literacy. After 1 year on reading eggs he is now way ahead of the expected level of literacy for his age. Reading Eggs has been a great great investment. Max loves it and very motivated to reach a particular level to get a reward from me.
